Babylon's Burning
Castle/Sanctuary CMXBX1491, 26 March 2007 (4CD box set) [top of page]
features: Repetition / Bingo Master’s Break-Out / Frightened
Sub-titled: The Rough 'n' Ready Rise Of Punk Rawk 1973-1978. Frightened is the same track as on Live At The Witch Trials. It is described on the box as being an out-take from the Bingo Master's Break-Out EP sessions and subsequently used on the Live At The Witch Trials album. There is however some debate as to whether this is correct - it sounds like it was recorded at the same time as the rest of the album (especially the drum sound), which means there may still be an unreleased version from the EP sessions, as it is known the song was recorded but pulled from the EP because Mark E Smith wasn't completely satisfied with the rendition captured on tape. | |
